Crabs, Lobsters, Shrimps

When I dive in Zeeland, the Netherlands, I always see a lot of crabs, lobsters and shrimps. But here in Bonaire they are less common. And most of them are night active. But most of the pictures are taken in the daytime. Once in a while I see a spiny lobster walking over the reef, looking for a new day hide-out. Then you can see how big they are. When you hold your hand close to his tentacle, he will touch it, trying to figure out who or what he feels. The first batwing coral crabs I saw at a night dive at Plaza. During the day I’ve seen only a few, always hiding in caves, which make them hard to find.
The cleaning shrimps will give you a free manicure. Just hold your hand close to them, and they will pick the dead skin from you.
